Getting Started
- Turn off real-time protection and remove any third-party antivirus.
- Run the Cortex loader as administrator.
- Enter your license key and wait for the green confirmation.
- The console window closes on its own when loading is done.
- Launch DayZ and press Insert to open the menu.
In-Game Controls
Press Insert to toggle the menu. Full mouse navigation for easy setup. DayZ tip: if the menu does not show up, go to Settings, Video and set Hardware Anti-Aliasing to Disabled, then restart the game.
Safety
Cortex: DayZ has built-in HWID protection against BattlEye bans. The two-year clean record is real. Regular updates keep it ahead of anti-cheat changes so it stays safe.
Troubleshooting
If you see Exit Code 0xC0000005, verify your game files through Steam. If the loader freezes on "Loading", run bcdedit /debug off in an admin CMD and restart. For "Status Failed" errors, remove Faceit, Vanguard, and ESEA completely.
